Is the manufacturer a known brand and where is it made?  Most sold to compete with the Direct-Lift Two-Column Lift Series are imports that are being brought in from unknown manufacturers at slightly lower prices and with higher rated capacities.  These companies do not conform to the USA lifting standards and therefore guess at rated capacities. It is unknown whether these companies are even insured in the USA (it should be vital that you ask these questions).  All Direct-Lift models are owned and manufactured by the Fortune 500 company Dover Corp. 3. What is the warranty and availability of parts? All of our Direct-Lift models carry a five-year parts warranty and a one-year warranty on the power unit and hydraulic cylinder. Parts are inventoried here at our warehouse with a large, multi-million dollar backup at the Direct-Lift headquarters in Madison, Indiana. Our headquarters owns and utilizes an automated Seven Tower REMSTAR inventory management and parts distribution system with 99.5 percent accuracy. This large investment is unmatched in the lift industry and rivals many systems used by the car companies. Shipments of all our parts (including jack stand units) are made daily in a very timely fashion. Most parts orders are shipped within 24 hours of order. The Pro-9F is able to fit into ceiling heights as low as 9'6" and will handle all cars and light trucks by positioning the vehicle centered in the columns. This two post lift has a dual point safety release and a high-tensile leaf chain lifting design. The two chain-over hydraulic cylinders are synchronized by cable adjustment so the lock system will engage at the same time on both columns. This proven design has been used in the commercial car lift market for over 35 years.
