W-937 Wheel Balancer Calibration Video

Welcome to DerekWeaver.com. In this video, we will demonstrate the calibration procedure for the W-937 Wheel Balancer. To complete the calibration, you will need a 14”, 15” or 16” tire and steel wheel assembly in good condition. Do not use a badly worn tire or damaged rim for the calibration.

We begin the calibration procedure by mounting the wheel. Choose the proper size cone then place the cone on the shaft, place your wheel on your shaft. Notice the lip on the cone to hold the wheel. Place the quick nut on the shaft. Tighten the quick nut until its snug. Now we’re ready to enter the dimensions for this wheel.

First, enter the distance dimension by pulling the distance gauge out and touching it to the bead of the wheel. We can see our distance is 130. Enter the distance dimension using the DIS+ and DIS- buttons. Change the dimension in the outer window until it shows 130. Measure the width of the wheel using the width gauge. Place the pointers on the width gage on the bead of the wheel. Note the dimension is 5” inches. Enter the width dimension using the BR+ or BR- button. Change that dimension until 5 shows in the outer window.

Now we need to find the rim diameter. To find the rim diameter, look at the last two digits on the tire size, which is located on the sidewall of the tire. Enter the diameter using the DIA+ or DIA- buttons. Change that dimension until it shows 15 in the outer window. To enter the calibration mode, press and hold the People key for 6 seconds. The machine will beep 2 times and display ADD in the inner window, 0.00 in the outer window.

To initiate the first spin cycle, press the Start button. During the initial spin cycle, the machine will say GO CAL. When the spin cycle is complete it will show ADD in the inner window and 3.5 in the outer window. To add calibration weight, rotate the wheel until all of the LED lights to the left of the outer window are lit. Hammer the 3 ½ ounce calibration weight at 12:00on the wheel.

To begin the final spin cycle for the calibration procedure, press the Start button. The machine will brake, display SAV DAT, and then 0.00 in each window.
