Welcome to DerekWeaver.com. In this video we will describe the factory reset procedure for the W-977 Wheel Balancer.
We begin the factory reset by properly mounting a 14-inch steel tire and wheel assembly. Choose the proper size cone and verify it fits in the [inaudible00:26] of the wheel. Place the cone on the shaft. Place the wheel on the shaft. Tighten your quick nut until it's snug.
Once you've mounted your 14-inch steel wheel, press the House key to enter the program mode. Press the DIS-plus key to enter Setup, and press the House key two times.
Rotate the wheel counterclockwise until the outer window shows the number 110. When you reach 110, hit the People key. Now rotate the wheel clockwise until you reach 130, and hit the People key again. Hit the House key and the inner window will show DIS, the outer window shows zero.
Place the distance gauge in the Home position against the machine as shown here. Now hit the House key. The display will show DIS in the inner window, 150 in the outer window.
Pull the distance gauge out until 150 is displayed here and hold the distance gauge. While holding the distance gauge at 150, hit the House key. Once the distance gauge is returned to the home position,CALwill show in the inner window and DIA will show in the outer window. Now hit the House key, and it will show DIA in the inner window and zero in the outer window.
Pull the distance gauge out and rotate it so the distance gauge is resting against the shaft housing as shown here. With the distance gauge held against the shaft housing, press the House key and it will show DIA in the inner window and 14 in the outer window.
Pull the distance gauge out and hold it against the bead of the rim as shown here. While holding the distance gauge against the bead of the rim, press the House key. The machine will say SAV in the inner window and DAT in the outer window. It will beep three times, indicating the factory reset is complete.
